Assistant Professor
Department of Political Science, Aarhus University
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University, specializing in public opinion and its role in shaping regime dynamics. My research thus examines how mass opinion sustains political regimes or catalyzes regime change. As an applied political scientist, my methodological focus is on survey methods, experimental designs, and design-based causal inference. I earned my Ph.D. in Political Science from Aarhus University in 2023. My work has been published in leading journals such as the British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Science, PNAS Nexus, and Nature Scientific Reports.
In 2024, I received funding from the Danish Research Council (together with Jakob Tolstrup) for a project (2025-2029) examining the microfoundations of authoritarian repression.
